Sebastian Hess studied mechatronics at the Ulm University of Applied Sciences and graduated in 2010. During his diploma, he analysed and characterized a novel high-g accelerometer development design at Fraunhofer EMI. He manged various projects in the field of fuze technology and special machine manufacturing. He is head of research group “Ballistronics” since 2017. His group focuses on fuze systems as well as the design and testing of electronics for defence applications. His research project track features records in the domain of digitalization,
fuzing systems, customized test and measurement systems on national and international level.
