Biography

MSgt Deshona D. Crowder serves as the primary enlisted advisor to the Squadron Commander on the utilization, training, and employment of over 277 active duty, civilian, and contract personnel across 12 career fields and 9 work centers, including the Radar Approach Control located on White Sands Missile Range. MSgt Crowder is the focal point for enlisted manpower, readiness, and quality of life matters. The Operations Support Squadron provides world-class operational support that enables the production of F-16 and MQ-9 combat airpower, deploy combat-ready forces, and support Base Expeditionary Airfield Resources (BEAR) base, Test Group, and other 49th Wing mission partners. They also manage Holloman’s airfield and base operations, perform air traffic control, and carry out weather functions. Additionally, MSgt Deshona Crowder functions as the Weather Flight Chief, 54th Operations Support Squadron, Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico. She directs twenty-three weather personnel in providing staff weather support as well as mission planning and execution forecasts for the Air Force’s largest Formal Training Unit. Sergeant Crowder ensures daily support is provided to three MQ-9 Training Squadrons, three F-16 Training Squadrons, and seven other assigned aircraft types over a 42K square mile airspace, to include the White Sands Missile range and over 18,000 personnel. She oversees airfield forecasts and products protecting eight billion dollars in Department of Defense assets, manages weather product quality/horizontal consistency and directs time-critical operational, exercise and contingency support.
