ARJAN LEMMERS is a senior project manager in the Training, Simulation and Operator Performance department at the Royal Netherlands Aerospace Centre NLR. His main activities are the management of national and international research projects and the acquisition of new projects. The technical field of his research projects is on the crossroads of simulation, training and concept validation. Arjan is an expert in (military) modelling and simulation technology, especially in the field of distributed mission simulation. He is used to operate in an international field of researchers, industrial partners and operational people. He is often the connecting (and explaining) link between the operational users and the product developers. In NLR Arjan leads the MTDS (Misison Training through Distributed Simulation) research program and the Embedded Training product team. Internationally Arjan is chair of the NATO MSG-165 task group on MTDS, is member of the NATO NMSG and EDA Simulation CapTech.
