Dr. Syed Mohammad serves as the Director for the Modeling and Simulation Technology Center for the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate. Syed started his career in 2001 with U.S. Army Tank-automotive Research, Development, and Engineering Center supporting Army ground vehicle Modeling and Simulation activities within the Intelligent Ground Systems and Robotics Directorates. He later joined the Program Executive Office for Combat Support and Combat Service Support as the Lead Engineer for the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) RG-31 platform, and later served as the Lead Engineer and Deputy Product Manager for MRAP All-Terrain Vehicles (M-ATV). Syed holds a B.S. and M.S. in Engineering from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, a Ph.D. in Modeling and Simulation from the University of Central Florida, and an M.B.A. from University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School.
