Biography

Mrs. Tarah Daly comes to the Cognitive Performance Group with a background founded in human factors engineering. She has her BS degree in Psychology and an MS degree in Modeling and Simulation, both from the University of Central Florida. With over ten years of experience in research and development focused on human-centric solutions, Mrs. Daly leverages her knowledge gained both in academia and in industry, applying her expertise on government funded projects designed to improve our Warfighter performance. She has assessed training of vigilance tasks in video game-based environments utilizing novel approaches to extend laboratory-based vigilance tasks, supported the creation of cognitive assessment frameworks to gauge skill decay, and researched psychophysiological paradigms for the investigation of a stress classifier utilizing mobile applications and technology. Mrs. Daly also has built content for mixed- and augmented reality training applications, instantiating micro-learning strategies, and evaluating effectiveness of those training technologies. She has extensive experience performing usability assessments and user experience testing, ensuring human-centered design recommendations are developed into final deliverables. Dissemination of research findings, knowledge, and theoretical implications garnered through research efforts for Department of Defense clients, academia, and industry can be found in her peer-reviewed, published works.
