Mr. Kaushik, Principal Software Engineer at Collins Aerospace, has been honored with the National Training and Simulation Association (NTSA) 2024 ‘Top Under 40’ Award for his outstanding contributions to the Modeling, Simulation, and Training (MS&T) industry. Specializing in Image Generators (IGs) for Flight Simulation, he actively engages in the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation, and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) as part of the Emerging Concepts and Innovative Technologies Subcommittee. Recognized as an ‘Outstanding Researcher’ by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), he also serves on Collins Aerospace’s DevSecOps leadership committee. As an active member of the Simulation Interoperability Standards Organization (SISO), Mr. Kaushik participates in study groups with industry leaders and SMEs from IEEE, ISO/IEC, NATO Modelling and Simulation Group (NMSG) and DoD, driving collaborative efforts to shape and refine MS&T industry standards and best practices. He is deeply committed to advancing the next-generation standards within the industry. His ongoing research centers on ‘assessing visual fidelity across different visual systems’, an innovative simulation domain where he is a leading figure, recognized for his influential research papers and presentations. He will be leading a SISO study group in this emerging field. With two master’s degrees in game engineering, Computer Vision, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) from the University of Utah and a bachelor’s in computer science from Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra, India, his passion lies in creating scalable, innovative software architectures leveraging cutting-edge technologies.
