Brazilian Army
Jerson Geraldo Neto is a Cavalry Captain in the Brazilian Army. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Military Sciences from the Agulhas Negras Military Academy (2015). He served for six years in an Armored Regiment and completed specializations at the Armored Instruction Center and the Specialized Instruction School, where he deepened his expertise in armored vehicle operations and maintenance management.
From 2022 to 2023, he served as an instructor at the Battle Simulator (SIMBAT) of the Agulhas Negras Military Academy, conducting military training through virtual simulations using advanced software such as VBS 3, Steel Beasts, and Combat Mission. This role provided him with a deep understanding of simulation technologies and their practical application in military training.
In pursuit of academic growth, he completed a master's degree in Computer Science, focusing on Human-Computer Interaction, Virtual Reality, and Augmented Reality at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. As a researcher, he has dedicated himself to studying the use of virtual simulators in education and training, as well as the applications of virtual and augmented reality, with various publications and participations in academic events on these topics.
