Biography

Viruben is a Senior Defence T&E and Systems Engineer with over 15 years of software and aerospace experience and a proven track record for managing and trialling the integration of complex technical systems. He has proven experience across the Defence Aerospace sector, most recently as the Senior Systems Engineer within the Helicopter Aircrew Training System (HATS) simulation environment. Prior to this position, Viruben held senior positions within the Commonwealth as a consultant to Navy for the Destroyer Program, and served with distinction in the Royal Australian Navy as a Flight Test Engineer and Avionics Engineer for over 13 years. Throughout his career he has often lead initiatives and programs that required the use of his specialist digital engineering expertise, as well his strong systems engineering mindset. He has a Masters in Systems Engineering from UNSW Canberra, a Masters in Flight Test and Flight Dynamics from Cranfield University, and is also a Graduate of the Empire Test Pilots’ School in Boscombe Down.
